WARM SIBERIA – PURE

“Pure” stands for the unadulterated. The pulse of life beats in every single bar of the song and plays a very special role for the producer duo, consisting of Mark and Pascal of Warm Siberia.

Pascal says: “For me, ‘Pure’ is like the refreshing feeling of diving into cold sea water. After a stressful or hot day, it gives me the feeling of reset that I need.”

But “Pure” is not only a wonderful soundtrack after a tiring day – it can also motivate you to tackle things and ride the waves of life, as Mark describes it: “It’s like surfing: You keep trying to get on the board, trying again and again, you fall, the waves take you down, but you don’t give up and you slowly learn to deal with the waves of life. And suddenly you make it – you stand and ride them!”

When the two of them wrote the song, they were completely obsessed with Bon Iver’s song “Perth”. The guitar riff had stuck in their heads. They wanted something similar for their music, a unique theme that was catchy and carried the whole song. When Mark sat down, playing the first riffs and Pascal added harmonies and beat elements, they knew immediately that they had captured exactly the right vibe for the song. That was the birth of “Pure”.
