With “IMPULS”, SINE presents his new album – a work that reflects its name in every note. Born out of a creative challenge, the artist set himself the task of developing a new song idea every day for a week. Without overthinking, without getting bogged down – simply following the moment. The result: eight demos in ten days, which SINE later turned into an extraordinary album.

“IMPULS” represents a conscious change in SINE’s work. Instead of relying on his familiar, haptic groovebox and sampler, this time they were switched off. Instead, all tracks were recorded with software instruments and mixed in music software. The music was created from repetitive patterns and fragments, which then merged with a plethora of real instruments: acoustic and electric guitars, electric bass, harmonica, accordion, felt piano, various drums and more. Many of these instruments already accompanied SINE in his childhood – and now they flow together organically on “IMPULS”.

As a result, the album sounds deeper, more expansive, more unpolished and at the same time meditative and varied. It is a deliberately new path for SINE, a journey into the unknown on which he completely surrenders to the music.

“This time I wanted to work very much from the gut, to develop song ideas from an impulse without making a fuss,” says SINE about the creation process. “It was a meditative flow: diving in every morning and letting myself drift. I’m very happy with this album because it’s so authentic. I deliberately didn’t think about whether a track could generate a lot of streams. I just wanted to let myself drift out of the impulse with what was being created.”

“IMPULS” is a courageous, honest album that shows new facets of SINE. An album that emerged from the moment, that touches and will create many more special moments for listeners.
