On July 2nd, 2021 Sine Music will be releasing Glint’s second album “Human”. The album contains 14 tracks and will be available in all well-known download stores and streaming services.
“Human” breathes the air of late 80’s and early 90’s pop music but also surprises with world music and soft percussions combined with the sounds of nature recordings. Producer Martin Stehl aka Glint is well known for his Deep House, Chillout and Ambient remixes as well as for his original tracks. His debut album “Estival Arvo” which was released in 2019 instantly rushed to position 12 of the Apple iTunes charts. With “Estival Arvo” Glint also got a nomination for the German “Schallwelle Preis” for electronic music and finally won second in the category discovery.
“Lovin’, Movin’ ft. FAB” is the first single to announce the album release. Its funky 80’s guitars, sparkling synths and fancy male vocals let the sun rise and the hips shake. It’s like Daft Punk and The Midnight had a child together. And its name is “Lovin’, Movin’ ft. FAB”. Germany-based Italian singer Fabrizio Levita sings these sweet and wistful lines. After taking part in the German casting show “POPSTARS” he got his solo record deal and travelled all over Europe and Japan with various music projects.
The title track “Human” is a meditative song combining acoustic percussion with jazzy melody-progressions of a dreamy vibraphone over the swelling harmonies of strings. “Human” builds the yin of this album, complementing its counterpart yang in the form of 80’s pop tunes.
And then Glint takes a sassy step into the 90’s. The second single to announce the album is named “Why ft. Jessie Wagner”, a singer from New York City. This song feels like a time travel to the early 90’s with Jessie Wagner’s soulful and tasty vocals. There’s a slight hint of Madonna and Kylie Minogue. Singer Jessie Wagner is a longtime member of the world’s music scene: she already sang with Lenny Kravitz, Chic, Duran Duran and many others.
The last three songs of the track list are the three previously released singles “Lovin’, Movin’ ft. FAB” and “Why ft. Jessie Wagner” as well as “Gotta Move On ft. Mia” as instrumental versions.
“Human” is a versatile album, with each of the eleven tracks being one of a kind but glued together through Glint’s style.
