DAVID CAN – KIRKJUFELL EP

On June 16th, 2023 Sine Music will be releasing the new EP “Kirkjufell“ by their freshly signed artist David Can. The EP contains four tracks and will be available in all well-known download stores and streaming services.

Making life a cinematic experience, that’s the goal of Berlin based composer and producer David Can. His debut EP “Kirkjufell“ is a mixture of the genres ambient, deep house and film soundtrack. He gains much inspiration from artists like Ólafur Arnalds, Tom Ashbrook and Nils Frahm among others. Besides music, he pays attention to the nuances of the world: sounds of everyday life, the sound of speech and nature. You will hear it in his songs.

The tracks “Kirkjufell“ and “Winter Memories“ paint the majestic picture of a mountain landscape in Iceland and of hiking through the deep snow. The music itself is a hike through various emotions: from inner calm and reflection to absolute overwhelm. A rich spectrum, musically and emotionally, awaits you.

“Dream Ahead“ and “Thoughtful in Silence“ are danceable yet melancholic pieces of music: Starting off with a calm and beautiful piano melody, they’re then evolving to classical dance tracks. If that’s not a thing – it is now. David Can bends the boundaries of genre and instrumentation. He’s crafted the diversity of piano, strings and elements of electronic music into a perfect symbiosis.
